Binns

My Binns family is from Bradford, Yorkshire, England.  I have little information on the Binns family.  Joseph Binns was born circa 1771, Manningham, Yorkshire.  He was a clogger/shoemaker.  The lived at Manningham, then sometime between JUL 1801 and DEC 1802, they went to Great Horton.  They had: John c 26 MAR 1800, St. Peter’s, Bradford, Yorkshire, England; Thomas, c 12 JUL 1801, St. Peter’s, Bradford, Yorkshire, England; Nanny (c 15 DEC 1802, St. Peter’s, Bradford, Yorkshire, England); and Mary c 2 OCT 1805, St. Peter’s, Bradford, Yorkshire, England.  There was another Joseph Binns who married Alice Hanson in 1796 who was a weaver  and was a weaver. This Joseph had children christened at the same church as this Joseph Binns. There is also a Joseph Binns who married an Elizabeth. This Joseph was bc 1779 and Elizabeth bc 1778. He died 15 JUN 1847 and she died 2 SEP 1852. They were buried in Non-conformist church, Great Horton. If this is my Joseph Binns, at some point after his children were christened in Church of England converted to non-conformist church.

Nanny Binns (c 15 DEC 1802, St. Peter’s, Bradford, Yorkshire, England) married Isaac Clayton (bc 1793).   See my Clayton page for information their descendants.
